Registration

Can siblings camp out at the jamboree?
Yes, that is the purpose of our Family Camp.

What is the price for toddlers?
Children under 5 years old are free with a paid adult admission.

How do the meals work?
The pass you purchase will determine how many meals you will receive.

  • Overnight campers will receive 3 meals -- Sat. lunch & dinner and Sun. breakfast.
  • Family campers will receive Sat. lunch only
  • Day-Use Pass receives lunch only.

All remaining meals will need to be cooked in the campsites or purchased from concession stands.

Do I need to buy Day Use passes in addition to my RV site registration?
No – Admission and other Day Use items are included in the RV site registration.

Are hookups included in the RV site fee?
No – contact the Fairgrounds at (925) 426-7503 for the hookup reservation. They will bill you separately.

Who should register as Staff?
While we greatly appreciate the many volunteers who will be helping make this 100th anniversary Jamboree a memorable event, staff registration is limited to those who:

  1. Spend most of their time during the 3 days of the Jamboree volunteering in a staff position, and
  2. Spend extensive time before the Jamboree helping with the planning process.

Those who will be helping with a shift or two during the Jamboree, but spending most of their time with their unit or family, should register using day, unit or family passes.

Volunteers who are coming in solely to work an activity should check with the activity organizer to arrange passes.

Camping

Since onsite camping is full, where can I camp locally?
Try the Regional Parks at Chabot, Del Valle and Sunol. Folks with RV's can often park in a Walmart parking lot. There are a number of them nearby.

What is a subcamp?
It’s a scouting term meaning a smaller campsite within a larger campsite, such as Cub Scout camping, Family Camping, or designated camping by council.

Is there a specific arrival time?
No, and you do not have to arrive with your Unit. However, we will need to know which unit you are with when you check in.

Are portable kitchens/Propane Stoves allowed?
Yes, but the space is not large so they need to be compact.

Will cars be parked close to campsites?
No, your car will be in a designated off site lot, however one vehicle per unit will be allowed to drop off equipment at each campsite.

Will families be able to camp together?
Only if ALL the family members are camping in the same kind of accommodations. RV’s and tent trailers are in a different area from tents.

Will Cub Scout Packs be able to camp together, along with all adults and siblings?
Register for multiple Family Camp sites, with 6 people per site. We’ll do our best to put you together. Plan to register early, since sites are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

Do Webelos need to camp separately and get a Scout Unit Camping Pass?
No. They have a choice of camping with you, or camping in the Scout Unit area.

If there are more than 20 scouts will more than one campsite be assigned?
The areas are 60” x 80” and we will try to accommodate you as well as possible. If more space is needed two sites will be assigned.

What if there are scouts that are only camping for one night but are being replaced with others the other nights?
You only pay one price for a three night stay. Other scouts may come in and replace those who have left.

Are Venture & Sea Scouts included?
Yes, Co-ed units will need to follow standard camping rules, with separate tents for different genders.

Are there restrooms and showers?
No showers, but there are portapotties and wash stations for campers.

Program

Will there be different services on Sunday for religious groups?
Yes, and they will be held from 8:30-9:15am Sunday morning.
